Jamie Church

Jamie grew up in Durango, Colorado, and later moved to Farmington, NM where she raised three sons with her husband and high school sweetheart, Darrin. She’s also a proud grandmother. But don’t let the word grandmother paint the wrong picture. Jamie has more energy and motivation than many twenty-somethings, and she’s not slowing down anytime soon.

Jamie’s been described as a connector, a person who’s relationship-focused in her approach to life with people and business. This is why it came as no surprise when she was chosen to serve as president and CEO of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce — an entity with the purpose of connecting commerce to community. This leadership role is a natural fit for her.

As the daughter of a small business owner, she learned at an early age the struggle small business owners sometimes face. She also saw first-hand, the significant impact small businesses make on a community.

Jamie has carried these lessons into adulthood and has become one of the greatest ambassadors for Farmington. She’s served on the Farmington Redcoats, two consecutive terms on the San Juan Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Hospital Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Four Corners Economic Development Board and Film Four Corners Board of Directors.

Jamie’s also an active participant in the Farmington Convention and Visitors Bureau Jolt Your Journey campaign, where she created the Focus on Farmington Coffee events. Hosted in a different business each month, these free networking events provide opportunities for people to connect and learn more about the host business. Focus on Farmington Coffees are open to all community members: professionals, retirees, stay-at-home parents…EVERYONE is welcome!

In 2021, Jamie launched the quickly growing podcast, Over a Cup of Coffee with her close friend Addie, as a way to help build positive community engagement and conversation.

When Jamie’s not out connecting people and promoting her community and businesses, she’s breathing new life into fabulous finds, gardening, and reading.

Addie Betancourt

“If we have never been amazed by the very fact that we exist, we are squandering the greatest fact of all,” Will Durant. One of the many positive quotes you’ll find scrolling Addie’s social media feed. If you ever have the pleasure of meeting her, you’ll immediately recognize her enthusiasm for life.

A native of Farmington, New Mexico, Addie has immersed herself in her community, sharing her gift of perpetual optimism and passion for the betterment of others. An accomplished professional, she currently serves as director of sales for one of the biggest names in the hotel industry. Addie supports her community through her work on several boards including the Farmington Chamber of Commerce, Farmington Convention and Visitors Bureau, City of Farmington Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board, and the Family Crisis Center Board of Directors. She also gives her time and energy to numerous nonprofit organizations and event planning committees.

Becoming the “Addie of today” has been an evolutionary exploration of self. She has said, “Getting to know her has been the greatest love story of my life.” Referring to finding herself through the trials and tribulations of life and learning to love the woman she has become. In January 2018, Addie courageously opened up about her struggles with alcohol and publicly shared her story for the first time. She’s now a public speaker, recovery advocate, and mentor for others striving for sobriety.

Addie has a message for the world, “It’s time to remove the stigma of an alcohol-free social life. It’s normal to not drink at a get-together. Stop pressuring people with antiquated, unhealthy ideals of 'fitting in.'"

Most recently, she launched Over a Cup of Coffee with her friend and confidante, Jamie Church. Addie’s “me time” includes traveling, reading, and quality time with her adult son, Alik.
